Strawberry is a delicious mild sour, sweet fruit. It is cultivated as a more profitable form of farming. Strawberry cultivation in India is also done in hydroponics, polyhouse and various soils and climates. There are about 600 varieties of strawberries grown worldwide, which are entirely different in taste and colour. But only a few types of strawberries are produced in India, yielding more according to climates and land. Its fruit is softer and has a pleasing aroma, which is exactly like a heart in appearance. It is the only fruit with seeds attached to the fruit’s upper part.
Strawberries are rich in vitamin C, A and vitamin K, antioxidants, minerals and a good amount of protein. It also contains ample amounts of magnesium, potassium, folic acid, phosphorus and calcium, which reduce the appearance of pimples on the face, enhance eyesight, and enhance the brightness of teeth.
Cultivation of Strawberries

Strawberries can be grown in any fertile soil. But in sandy loam soil, strawberry production is obtained in large quantities. The P.H. of the land in its cultivation. Land preparation & Fertilisers
Strawberry cultivation requires friable soil. For this, deep ploughing of the field is done. After this, water is applied to the area. When the water of the field dries up, it is pressed again.

After this, the seeds are planted in the area, and soluble fertiliser has to be given through irrigation.
Preparation of Planting Seedlings
The beds are prepared in the field for transplanting strawberry plants. For this, keeping a distance of one and a half feet in the area, 2 feet wide beds are prepared. After this, the plants are transplanted. The time between 10 September to 15 October is good for transplanting, and when the temperature is high, the plants can be planted till the end of September.
Strawberry plants are irrigated by the drip or sprinkle method, due to which the plants get a sufficient amount of water. To maintain moisture in the strawberry field, irrigation should be done as needed. Its first irrigation is done immediately after transplanting the seedlings, and before the fruits come, irrigation is done through the fountain. Plant Diseases and Treatment

Its fruits are harvested on different days. When gathering, the fruits must be broken with a stick at some distance so that the hand does not touch the fruit. After this, it is good to pack the fruits on plastic plates. After filling, they have to be kept in a ventilated place, where the temperature should be around 5 degrees.
Production & Benefits
Different varieties of strawberries give different yields. In general, 800 to 900 GM fruits are obtained from one tree. Due to this, the farmer brother produces 80 to 100 quintals from one acre of field. Due to which the farmer brothers earn more profit from its one-time crop.
